Cotha Ganesh Narayan Chetty, a fifth generation direct descendant of Cotha Krishniah Chetty, entered the jewellery industry post the demise of his father Late C. V. Narayan Chetty in 1998. His vision to take the legacy to a new generation promises today’s consumer an inclusive and elevated jewellery buying experience.
This flagship store is housed at The Touchstone (the family home of Cotha Krishniah Chetty since 1921-22)
Cotha Krishniah Chetty sold colored beads to the British residents on a bi-cycle before opening a small shop in a by lane of Commercial Street in 1869.
Cotha Audinarayana Chetty expertise was recognized by many Royal Houses of India including The Maharaja of Mysore, Sandur, Travancore, The Nawab of Savanur and a host of Princely States.
Cotha Venkatachalapathy Chetty was recognised by His Highness Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and appointed as a jeweller to Royal Court.
Late C.V. Narayan & C.V. Hayagriv brought a wealth of experience and global expertise and forged close association with several industrial bodies.
Cotha Ganesh Narayan, fifth-generation descendant of Cotha Krishniah Chetty began his career in 1998 after the unexpected demise

The C. Krishniah Chetty & Co. legacy is being carried forward by fifth generation descendant Ganesh Narayan Cotha, and his wife Vidya Nataraj.
Ganesh has more than 25 years of domain knowledge, experience and leadership in jewellery retail. He has a Graduate Diploma in Diamonds, Coloured Stones & Gemology from Gemological Institute of America (GIA) coupled with a Finance & Marketing degree from the University of Melbourne & Deakin University in Australia.
Vidya is the co-founder of Bluestone.com, India’s leading omni-channel jewellery brand and Tailorman.com, a Made-to-Measure menswear brand. She has an MBA from INSEAD, France and a B.Sc Mathematics degree from University of Warwick.
Together, with their combined experiences, skill sets and dedication , Ganesh and Vidya

The diamond is the chosen symbol for the logo, as a doubly fitting symbol to show timelessness and the brand’s reputation for quality diamonds.
The crest is a representation of C Krishniah Chetty & Co’s heritage. The Narasimha lions guard the diamond logo which represents its own values – of strength and skill. The elephant is a symbol of wisdom and stability, a cultural icon much revered in Asia as it also depicts Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
